this morning supposed to go for my weekly visit to the gynea..
woke up and realised unusual discharge and spotting but without any contraction pain..
bath as usual, went coffee shop for breakfast..
better eat the food i want before the 1 month confinement comes..*heehee*
went down to KKH as usual and waited for my turn to see the doc..
told the nurse about my situation so didn't wait very long for my turn..
went in and doc checked and said,
me: "this morning, i got clear discharge and spotting.."
doc: "ok, come lie down, let me check.. good, you've dilated 3cm.. so you want to give birth today?"
me & dollar: *jaw dropped* "huh? orh.. ok lor.. can lor.."
so from about 10am that day till about 3pm..
i was admitted into hospital, relaxed at my ward while waiting for hubby to bring my labour bag and the delivery suite to be available..
apparently, that day is a "hot" day for labour..
my gynea alone gave birth to 5 babies including mine!
finally my hubby is back with my stuff and settled his work in the office..
went into the delivery suite at about 3 pm plus..
it was more comfortable than expected..
minus all the big, strong operation lights like shown on tv..
minus the metal things that hold your legs apart..
minus the "fishing boots" that docs and nurses wear as told by Li Ee..
the delivery suite just look like any other hospital single-bedded ward..
changed into white operation suit..
lying on the bed..
waiting for the "legendary" waves of painful contractions..
as watching the tv in the suite..
nurses came in and out for prepare me for my labour..
stripped my tummy to some machine to measure my contractions and listen to Enzo's heartbeats..
my gynea came in to break my water bag..
i was put on drip for glucose..
then injected with epidural..
btw, the epidural injection wasn't as scary as some people mentioned..
as the epidural takes effect..
i gradually lost feeling from my waist down..
yes, it feels weird..
but no pain =)
waves of shivers came.. *effects of epidural*
finally the moment comes..
time to push, puSH and PUSH
wasn't too hard actually..
claps for my hubby
*claps claps claps*
he didn't actually faint with all the blood..
and he DID it!!
he cut Enzo's umbilical cord!
i am so proud of him..
*muackz*
finally at 2206 @ 23 Oct 2008
Enzo arrived!
